Very nice cube effect proving once again what Grandpa Sting once told me: cubes are the only 3d objects that exist! TBH I think the proportional font is a nice touch but the font itself could be nicer and, while it’s a nice touch, it’s not nice enough to make a massive deal about like in the scrolltext. I’m being moaning and grumpy – at the end of the day you can’t complain too much – it’s a nice intro 🙂

I think that scroll was intended for ‘internal purposes’ only / not to be spread publicly.

Yes. The cracktro was shipped to the group with some text as an example, and the group changed it with its own text when it was decided to use the cracktro. The crakctro was never spread with this text.

Those cubes are excellent, as is the music. The scroller just doesn’t do it for me, despite its technical achievement.

Yep, the first and only intro I know of on Amiga which used both a HIRES and a proportional font. The overall design and wonderful music by MONTY (especially in the alternative version of this intro) is icing on the cake. Font designers would be remiss not to fault the choice of the typographically abhorrent exclamation glyph, but considering all the features this intro has going for it, that is easy to gloss over.

Like I wrote, the only one I know of; I’ve never seen that AGILE intro before (it’s very slick). Which was first, this or AGILE?

Agile were first by nearly 2 years.
