Legendary Mod, ranked in top 5 of nostalgical songs. c64 inspired ? It lacks of sinus (logo, vertical scroll), and why not some text in this vertical scroll ?
Respect to those early sceners : we couldn’t met here at flashtro without their tries.

Nothing wrong with the intro, doesn’t have that special ring to it like Fairlight’s give me a man after midnight sample 🙂 but still interesting how the logo revolves around the scroller. A nice touch.
So if you had it your way, the only thing ever allowed would be people either agreeing, or praising and writing positive comments? This is real life, get a grip on yourself and accept that not everybody likes everything, and respect their opinion instead of insulting them.
If my comments annoy you, feel free to ignore them; nobody is forcing you to read them.
this is a matter of knowing your audience, not tolerance. these intros are re-created for nostalgic / historical reasons, and it is obvious to pretty much everyone here, that the very first intros from 86-88 are not up to par design-wise or technically with its successors. by constantly repeating your opinion in a very rude, generalising and imprecise fashion (“blah…suck ass”) you are only insulting everyones intelligence. it doesn’t add to the discussion, hence it is annoying.
…And what exactly do you believe we should be discussing? Most of the comments here, just in case you missed it, are always pretty much the same. Rarely do we discuss the technical implementations, so what you appear to be whining about is that I expressed my dislike. So if a praise is repeatedly made, you have no problem with that, but if a dislike is voiced, that bothers you? Wow. People like you are the reason human societies had censorship, because someone didn’t like what someone else was saying. Nice going. Back to the subject at hand, considering that… Read more »

It’s the 1980’s and people were just starting to get a feel for Amiga’s hardware, oh my (:-)
Alas, horrible. Why do all ’80’s Amiga intros suck ass?
i am still waiting to see your great, years ahead, stuff. its easy to criticize things in retrospect, but still remember: we were first, if you like it or not.
we started the evolution, we built the future 😉
…And I was with you, I coded my intros back in 1993 – 1994. On the Amiga 500, then the 600, and then the 1200. You’ll be waiting for a while for my “years ahead” stuff because I work full time and the rest of my time is taken up by developing my own software for commercial purposes on UNIX. I’ve re-written about 70% of one of my intro from 1994. here and there, when it’s done, you’ll see it here. As far as criticism, it really pisses me off when jackasses start whining about any kind of comment that… Read more »
well then you came 6-7 years too late. all the hard work was already done for you, by those bad (suck ass) coders. rewriting an intro 23 later doesnt count. criticism is good, but must be fair and in a related manner: “suck ass” does not help much here. bringing up your commercial work to prove your authority and expert status as a coder looks a little bit silly and leaves the feeling of a dick-measuring contess. PS: my kung-fu is better than yours, you are using my software every day in your commercial life. written by a suck ass… Read more »
“all the hard work was already done for you, by those bad (suck ass) coders.” Which work?!? I used the LSD docs disk copy of the “Amiga hardware reference manual” to learn how to program the Amiga hardware, and unless you wrote ASM-One, and the P61 replay routine, I did not use your or anyone else’s code or work. And yeah, I still think intro design from the ’80’s on the Amiga sucked major ass. That had nothing to do with the code quality, so you’re mixing things up. I was not trying to call to authority, but merely mentioned… Read more »

Heh the old style 🙂
typical code for the days, very nice! brings back alot of memories. Hi Rene/TWI, I can still remember our coding session in my kids room 🙂
so many questions… i have another one @Annatar: why are you so fucking annoying with your ignorant dickbag comments.

And which software of yours am I using? Now I’m really curious…
Oh I loved that tune so much. We like the retro around here.
Aaaaaahh..!
Pure oldschool 🙂 Tune is very nice, ST-01 times 🙂
That tune… love it now, loved it then! Not the best oldschool intro, but definitely “of it’s time” 🙂
Awesome. More true oldshool stuff. I love it. Thanks a lot m9 for converting these gems and bringing back 1987’s ambiance.
