I didn’t read the scrolltext, i just assumed it was him because of the skull, he later worked on the game mr. nutz
@hitchhikr: credits for the coding are indeed Mike’s (read the scrolly :D). Mike indeed worked for Ocean. In our C64 days (Warriors of the Wasteland), our coder ‘The Wim’, also made a game for I believe Ocean as well… They should give us our percentage! 🙂
That one was most probably made by Mike/The Band (later Angels) ex-DarkBlitter/Alcatraz (the same skull was used in one part the Alcatraz Megademo 2 made by DarkBlitter too).
If I remember well that guy went to work at ocean later on, making games (and software protections too if i’m not mistaken).

Also the copper effect on the logo is nice
but I’m not so sure about the skull.

Animated hardware sprites in the original maybe? Can’t see how there would be enough speed to do everything else otherwise.

@ Lee-m: Angels was formed *after* The Band quit the scene end of 1989… Angels by the way, was formed by our former leader Duncan, so you should check your facts before leaving a comment! :dozingoff

i’m not sure, whether that skull is ripped? vision had it 2 months ealier in their megademo iv and i think i remember a demo with exactly this skull as an equalizer? or am i wrong?
i also like the copper effect in the logo, even when the colours red and purple weren’t the best choice…
Im sure thats just the Angels cracktro, with a new logo, and some of the sinus maths changed. Infact, I think theres a few incarnations flying about.
I’m not sure about the colours in this intro, but you can’t lose with a sinescroll + copper/logo effects! 🙂
Lovely intro. Great (ripped) font, sinus and Hybris music! Even the copper effect is ace. I have also always been a fan of logo effects such in this intro… 😀 geez..!
