Nice music. Another childish stories in this one, I see. Very interesting stories, which would be nice to put down qs the Amiga heritage.
Max/PDX was more intereted in developping his onwe EGO-trippy business than in the scene. But well, not me to judnge, say so… Everyone knows where there is the money, there are (almost) no relations, forgetting friendship at all.
kimble might have made some more money than the other guys, but come on,
he should have done a search-engine and compete with google if he’s such a smart guy, again, a lot of people back then took themselves waaay too seriously, lot’s of macho-madness.
Sure… Kimble (don’t know whether he had money before) or Max(imilian/PDX) who would have been a wealthy man if he hadn’t made that final fatal trip to the US.
Or another guy that had to be rich was the sysop of the Saudi BBS (Desert Storm)we once had as a dist-site. $1000 a month for support – I shit you not!
in the late 80s, very early 90s SToRM gave an interview for germanTV Tele5 (that’s why you see the Tele5 Logo in the SToRM ‘Blitter Disaster’ Intro). during that interview they accused Vision Factory and maybe also Red Sector (can’t really remember) of recrackin’ games, which means, they remove the original cracktro and replace it with one of theirs. that’s pretty lame, of course, but some people did that. Personally i don’t know if such a high class act as VF really needed to do that, but anyway, as you can imagine that little sentence caused a lot of HEAT.… Read more »
go tell ’em stories 🙂 you can just change the names of the involved ppl 🙂
anyway, that’s one of the few intro i seem to have missed back in the days.
classic tune indeed! average intro tho…
Storm, the fucking best, lol that was fun back then and even more funny these days. I remember Rudi told me that he was always looking forward to the next Storm laugh. Anyway, i hope that i didn’t offend anyone here, with my words about Storm. It’s just something i remember 🙂 Yeah, there was money involved in the scene and i could tell some stories about that, but i wont as i know some of the faces/names will read this!! Salute to Midnight Maniac for the quality times we had mate. I hope you kick as much ass where… Read more »
thx for this SToRM cracktro for Rings of Medusa … the tune was also used in paranoimia cracktros ,,, you’ll find more cracktros of SToRM at http://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=3910 blitter disaster is really cool their scrolltexts i(like in bullshit bumbum) are quite violent, but also funny a lot of people seem to forget about all the battles in the amiga scene back in the late 80s, early 90s … sometimes it got a little bit out of control, but the point is, a lot of money was involved in it too. the SToRM little Mega Demo can be found here: http://www.df.lth.se/~cato/1991.html thx… Read more »
