Slipstream also had a strong coder called Andi, but he focussed mostly on demos. My group was based in Bournemouth UK along with Slipstream and there was some healthy rivalry. Never met Marc though – I think he lived further north.
The Tasmanian/Australian influence in Nemesis was a guy called “XTC”, as Bilbs said NOMAD was from the UK.
I was once in Holland at some Hacking convention, and I was using the payphone there to call a friend (Action Man/Nemesis) with my hardware bluebox… the guy behind me in the queue to use the phone recognised the voice on the other end, asked to speak to him – this turned out to be XTC on a European tour visiting various sceners! We had a few beers, seemed like a nice guy 😛
Very early intro coded by ‘Marc of Slipstream’ who would leave Slipstream to join Scoopex and become known as N.O.M.A.D – was a cracker in many groups after that: Genesis, Angels, Defjam, Crystal, Quartex, Ministry, Nemesis and ended his time in Fairlight…went on to do a PhD, nice guy.
He was a very, very talented guy, with an eye for design and attention to detail. Such people are extremely rare, especially in this “generation-Y low attention span” age…
Nice – I guess the logo would look much better in normal resolution as intented …
IMHO I would prefer them in normal display anyway … too many pixels visible here too

Huh! I thought N.O.M.A.D. was from Tasmania or Australia somewhere, probably because he is so strongly associated with Nemesis in my memory.
nah he was in Birmingham, UK 🙂

Oh wow, now that’s a cool story! More, more!

PhD in what?
And what did “N.O.M.A.D.” stand for?

i love all of it!
One of my logos I believe, from back in the day…
4mat rules! Rapia bassokuvio!
N.O.M.A.D and 4MAT..!! I guess nomad did pretty much everything code & training & cracking wise in Slipstream..
Doesn’t need the stars, otherwise a fine one.
sry to complain but in my eyes this is only average joe stuff. the copper bar equalizers don’t look beautiful to me. neither do the stars or the logo.
i only like the tune and their 16×16 font in this one. 4of10 to say it in BORG
I remember this and I always loved it.
I always liked Slipstream Intros…but this time the stars could be much better…
Yeah 4MAT what a kickin choon ! Logo also well known. Rest is good, but the stars suck.

Not a great logo, but everything else here is good – sinescroll + one of the best chiptunes ever written, how can you go wrong?
good one..very nice tune and also the rest is quite cool..lovely equalizer
