@Annatar: some were.. I guess the era of Amiga games that actually could be onefiled was rather short. The other thing I can think of is about loading time before the intro appears. And maybe it also was RAM space issue? There were few releases out there that used overlay loading techniques to show off the intro and then continue loading the main game (now that I am not able to name those but there were few).
Probably few of our belowed (retired?) crackers can enlighten us more? 😀
Can you remember if it’s crunched in a special way, since XFD can’t decrunch it ?
I just thought it was a Tetragon clone, cause the decruncher is similar to it.
BTW, like all other intro’s I seen from you, great work!
thanks

Can anyone enlighten me as to why on Amiga intros weren’t linked to the main game executable and then crunched like they were on the C=64???
@Annatar.. pretty much the same everyone else i.e. some LZSS variant.
another powerful SR intro
Mr.Spiv you shouldn’t be talkin’, you wrote Stonecracker… so, um, yeah.
What kind of an algorightm did Stonecracker actually use?
yeah.. every respectable group had their own cruncher (that was not a modified bytekiller) :p
Rob: depack this manually 😀 tools for decrunching intros suck anyway. 🙂 I think it was packed with Tetrapack with a slightly modified header.
Ahh, ok.
Speaking of Eurosoft, you have contact to him ?
rob: hmm, i personally used only relokit or powerpacker … but maybe the cracker used his own cruncher…. i.e. eurosoft did this.
rahh! Brainwalker here ! my god :yes

shut up wk, this is a superb great intro done by … guess who … 😉
Rob: its crunched with powerpacker or relokit.
nice intro, cool design, good logo+modulo effect…
Anyone know name of the cruncher this originally was crunched with ?
I think it’s some sort of a
tetragon clone.
Nice cracktro! golden years of the Skid Row crackto 🙂
Actually looks better than the original intro, since the scroller is a ‘snurkel’ rather than a plain sinescroll like the amiga version 🙂
