Well I can say I definitely belong to the description of balding old fart and that this is a quality production all around. Well done guys – excellent! HNY to you all.
What an honour to be greetet in such a class SCOOPEX production!

That’s a really nice intro with just a subtle hint of C=64 thanks to the colorful scroller in the middle of the screen… subtle but a perfect “dot on the i” to round up this slick production. Nothing to be said about the tune, it’s a classic. I do not know why the rose is Blue but would like to read the background scoop (pun intended!) on that if there is one. <3 Thanks for the greeting and my love goes right back to you in return. <3 Please shed some light on the ATARI ST conversion, that fascinates me… Read more »
Hi there, Pardon me my late answer. I am really happy by your observing eye, Annatar ;). I’ve indeed put some few “hidden messages” in this intro. As you have noticed, there is a blink of an eye considering the C64. At the beginning I was not thinking about it actually, but later, yes, the scroller became some kind of copper-raster touch. I had to choose a nicely balanced colour for it, to make it a little bit brighter, then the rest of the screen, which thus would attract the spectator’s eye directly and immediately and still was not too… Read more »
It twas I that converted the game to Amiga 😉 Depending on how the game is written, depends on how long it takes. Recoil was programmed much like Amiga stuff. I use various websites to get the information I need so I know how to look for colour palette changes, how the screen base address is initiated. On some games its surprisingly quick how some games can be actually running on Amiga (minus input via joystick) Some of the more TOS system intensive games are a bit more difficult, as its all called via TRAPS to do stuff, but it… Read more »
Thank you for writing that up. This was such an interesting read, I read that with relish. Amiga doesn’t use the trap instruction but ATARI TOS and MC68000-based UNIX systems made heavy use of them, and from what I understood, every trap instruction generates an interrupt?
This is a fab cracktro and seeing Mr Spiv as Amiga coder in 2019 is great. 🙂 Thanks for the greet my friend and I hope to see another intro from you in 2020. Happy new year to everyone!
Looks like someone understood the simpleness and quality of the Redrum cracktros. This is really ACE Mr. Spiv, Estrayk and Sim1 – congratz with the work and thanks for the greeting – maybe 2020 will give ya some more competition 😉 Happy new year!
Thanks 😉 Actually the initial design was done in Jun’18.. first mock-up in Dec’2018, finished Jul’2019.. and released in Dec’2019.. Extremely fast considering my standard delivery times 😀 Sim1 is a patient dude..
Actually the initial idea came up on February, in 2015(!), It was, I think, after I found out the StarQuake game was going to be ported on the Amiga. Yes, all the gfx was done in thought about this game (but as you already know – it did not happend. But that’s another story). The intro logo’s first pixels (no rendering, only hand/imagination/grafx2 were used), were put on 12.march.2015 and finished on 16.march.2015 (I was ill so I had more time ;). Fonts were made on 17.march.2015. The whole design was finished on o4.june.2015. But there were no coder… Or… Read more »
Very nice intro ! I really like the logo blue balls that moves and then go back in place in the logo ! Good team job, well done guys !
I wish all the flashtro users and supporters the best for 2020 !
Nice stuff, thanks for the greet (1st! :P)
Good logo + layout by Sim1, I guess this is why he has been too busy to send me the layout we talked about 3 years ago now … 🙂
this one is very stylish. Royal colours and a perfect fitting estrayk tune. Thx for the greeting, too!
Nice one, makes me happy 🙂
Thx Spivy baby … and back with signature sound, Strike! 😀
Classy 🙂 Loving the original logo effect too. Thanks for the greet 🙂

Ask Sim1 about the rose colour.. we did have a “discussion” about it 😀

Wow, this is so good to read, I thought it would remain a mystery forever and I stumbled onto the answer by accident, left one month ago! Sweeettt!

And the best crackers are the best not because they’re great at debugging, they are the best because they are great at cheating (bypassing)!
