Not the best from QTX I’ve seen, but does the job (if used only once or twice).
this would have been ok for most of the amiga groups, but please remember: Quartex was so dominant back then, this cracktro just doesn’t do justice to their reputation.
Which Quartex this actually was? Members did not look too familiar what I would have expected from Quartex I knew..
This was supposed to be some Quartex rebuild after original Quartex threw in the towel. All the guys are from Italy which is really strange, since Italy never had a big cracking scene (the only groups from Italy I know of are F4CG and Hokuto force).
I remember another italian group called IBB (Italian Bad Boys).
Its alright, but the colours on the scroller font are all kinds of yuck!
They are the colors of the Italian flag since this seems to be done exclusively by Italians. I learned how to decrunch in a monitor (AmigaMon by Brada / THV) on this intro, so it has special meaning for me. Once the “Italian job” colors are fixed, the intro is really decent. We already mentioned on the original version that the music is by Dr. Awesome. The logo effect is a simple fetch modulo cycle. What else? Thanks for the education 😉 Whoever looked at that logo and those colours and thought “yes, perfect, that’ll work” should have paused for a rethink… 🙂
Nice logo and nice effect on it.
But the rest seems out of place.
