That text routine is the schizzz, fantastic tune too. I remember bumping into Jester in Southampton and (as a scene-obsessed 15yr old) felt like I was meeting royalty 🙂

Beautiful cracktro. In the early days Quartex didn’t include many cracktros, but they dominated the cracking scene. Who is Rob of Quartex? I saw many cracks from him. Did he quit the scene early?
Cheers for the info guys. I also found out that Rob wrote the game Thunderboy for Rainbow Arts on the Amiga and was cracked by Conan of Tristar on 22 January 1988.
Nice Intro! The text is a little bit hard to read – but the effect is awesome!

I always loved that tune, and Corto is one of my favorite intro coders. Sure brings back memories. First saw a variation of this intro on Star Control.
Does anyone else hear a touch of sadness, thrill and danger in the music, or am I just imagining things?
Nice flag writer
Classic stuff from the mighty Corto!
One of my absolute favs! >>10/10<<

Rob is Robin Wunderlich, was one half of the Dynamic Duo on c64.
He started early on Amiga so guess got bored of it having been cracking for years before on c64
Afaik Rob finished his “career” at Quartex in the middle of 1990, from now on he only did a few cracks on request.

True, the subtle melancholia makes this and so many other crackintro tunes so great. So to say; Unless you feel, naught will you ever gain.
Very nice! Like the mod intro..
no quartex cracktros for me back in the days, but this one is quite nice
Why not?
Crazy letters all over the place, I like that!!! 😀
cool text routines, i do remember this one, back then quartex cracktos were rare.
