nice cracktro from arguably the biggest name in the scene, at least for a while … there can only be one.
They were only relevant in 1989 and early 1990, after that the group name was recycled by others. They were definitely the leaders when Rob was their cracker and they didn’t use cracktros. That startup sequence text is synonymous with Quartex.
A lot of the same/original guys were in the group throughout (Waremonger, Abrasax, Speedy Dennis etc.). They also had quite a successful post 1990 spell when NOMAD etc joined the group, although that didn’t last very long…
I’d argue that Ben/The Surge was nearly as prolific in Quartex as NOMAD was.
He was as prolific, just not as talented – maybe if he wasn’t f**ked up on shrooms etc. so frequently that might have been different 🙂
Pretty sure Dimi would not have signed off on using the QTX ‘brand’ for a foreign language release.
