Well, no one really knows but I might be German and these guys sure as hell liked some German cracks coming their way., No understanding why you’d say the graphics suck they don’t. That’s just plain wrong. Essence were one of the leading demo groups back then, they sure knew how to run things.
And I hate that I can’t edit my own comments any more. Sweet M9, they are full of typos and lies!
Added a simple spell checker that should help for now until I get comment editing sorted
I speak German too but that doesn’t mean shit: if a release is made in German nobody outside of the German speaking countries and Holland can understand it, not to mention. I am of the belief that computers in anything but English, ergo localised, just reads like shit. I’d never localise anything nor would I issue anything in any language other than English. All the computer terminology was *invented* in English , so respect!
Hardline? You bet!
Belated reply: I can see your point and being a hardliner is the most safe and comfortable position. But the German releases were out there, there was a demand and they needed to be cracked. And sometimes German versions even were released before the Multi/English language ones. By today’s standards Paradox should have released those under a different name/subgroup though. And this is the last and only time you’ll see me speaking up for anything that could be ‘region dupes’. In any charts, the first English release should get the points, the rest gets nada.
Tune is nice, but I didn’t like this intro back then, and I sure as hell don’t like it now, although they slapped it on quite a few releases (and with different music). The graphics sucks really bad, and why anyone would ever crack a release not in English is beyond me. That’s just dumb.
Really nice style! When I saw the preview screenshot I assumed this was one of the intros Jetset made for Paradox, although I know this one from back in the days and should know better. Shouts to Essence then!
And I must be dreaming, WK just said he likes a tune by WOTW!
But once again, the MOD player on here doesn’t sound accurate, the vibrato (or is it portamento) is much too shaky.

Nice stylized “P” Paradox dot logos, the general gfx/font don’t do anything for me. Music is very simplistic but quite catchy little tune…
It’s a “D” for “D-Sign” / Essence isn’t it?
I suppose it works as both, but I always read it as a “P” 😛 Maybe that’s just very clever design, getting an extra credit to himself in the dot part too 🙂
