Nice one indeed … But I guess ignorant non-coders like myself simply fail to pay full tribute to its complexity .. So though it looks nice it s certainly not even close to a 10/10 from a design point of perspective *fail*cough* .. nice music though which suits the intro very well!
ahh this one.. perfect scroller (within the best i ever seen) .the tune also is very nice..but as scheisslogin i dont like the logo.. anyway great conversion!!!!!

Not vector at all. Haven’t looked, but probably the same as certain sphere-mapped scrollers (like the one by Rave) – precalc blit, CPU-blit, or plot code (several KBs of it) according to a formula, once. The code is static – each 20-30 instructions is responsible for setting a pixel shape at a certain coord if scrollpixel is 1 – the only thing that changes is the ones and zeroes from the scroll buffer as the text scrolls through it. Any slight animation in curving you see is modulo/shift waves (like for some sine scrollers) and color waves with the copper.… Read more »

how was it done then? enlighten me.
i dont think it is vector, there would have to be too many points to do it realtime. my best guess is a lot of animation of little squares, precalced after some 3d sines, and then plotting them realtime.
there could be some modulo wobbling going on aswell.

Looks like some vectorscroller distorted using some tables. Anyway, Mr.MegaMind ruled indeed! One of the best scrollers ever!
Yeh.. I really loved Mr.Mega Mind’s scroll effects. One of my all time favourite coders. :love Now, I think I better check how he did that scroller.. 😀

I have no clue how the scrolltext routine is coded.. but it could be vector and some nice $dff0102 and colorbars in the copperlist
