Listening to the tune in the Flash-vs-HTML5 version, this one sounds like ‘Filter Off’ – so much crisper. And what a killer tune it still is…
Great effect, certainly drawing 2D circles and not 3D ones and combining this with an animated copper list which simulates the reflection : a great trick by a great magician. And a very nice chip tune.

“Just a lightsourced object”? I think you forget that it wasn’t obvious at the time how they did it (i actually think Arcane did it first). There were no way of drawing splines with the blitter, so you had to use the processor to plot the circle, and then use the blitter to fill. Plus the maths of having a rotating disc was not trivial either.
I think this is pretty awesome.

it’s okayish, but Civilization = just a brilliant game.
Not bad but from a design prospective unfortunate I think … agree with the vector and wouldn’t have used pink neither indefinitely. Simply doesn’t go well with the color selection on the font
Like the font and musik… but the rotating “Button” is not my fav, sorry. A big rotating “N” (like Nemesis) would be perfect 😉
Classic intro, very tidy, and wouldn’t look out of place in a modern PC cracktro release.
