Beutiful. Just beautiful. And the tune is nostalgic, fits the beginning of the wind-down of the C=64 scene perfectly.

amazin’ what could be achieved on the commodore64. On youtube you can see some outstandin’ new releases for this machine to this day.

Truly amazing, I agree.

Amiga did, early ’90’s to ’93 was the Zenith and the intros were awesome… then Melon Dezign came and things went down the toilet. They fucked everything up with their avant garde vomit and everybody copied them. It was awful. The consequences were so devastating that you can still see echoes of their design paradigm in modern intros to this day. It was the Amiga scene’s darkest hour to be sure.

I am talkign about today. The C64 scene has great demos, cool competitions and moar. The Amiga? Few trusty believers, rare demos.
Nothing to compete/compare with a commy. Well, that’s just different.

Melon and etc… Really interesting subject. I would like to develop it further. But you know, noone was obliged to copy. Most frequently, cruelly speaking, only sheeps follow without thinking.

Well in my case I can tell you that several factors come into play: the Amiga hardware seems to be more susceptible to capacitor and other random hardware failure than the Commodore64, and finding someone to service the hardware seems to be a mission impossible. For example I replaced the capacitors in my A500 and it’s still not working correctly, so something else is wrong, but who knows what. Then there’s the problem of space, until I move I don’t have enough space to install and run all my computers. Then there’s the emulation experience, which is atrocious unless one… Read more »

Amiga500 hw. Well, soldering the ICs is an (not so easy) art, that’s true. But finding someone it is not a mission impossible. If you look carefully there are dudes on the scene who can help you out. If you have 2 Amigas, try ti piggyback the components from on on to another. I helps a lot to diagnose the faults. Space problems. I did not understand it I’m afraid. Emulation. If you are on another popular OS, and have some RAM/HD space, why not to install a small VW environment for the “under windows” emulation experience? 😉 A500 HW.… Read more »

Decent intro, some nice touches like the scroller make it seem very polished. Greets to Bod 🙂

Very cool Ikari +Talent intro with a famous c64 music (forgot in which zine it was…).
Always liked how the scroller’s words appear/disappear in this one!
Cool touch with that sprite coder signature 😉
