You must have been reading my mind. I had just loaded this intro up in VICE yesterday. And Platoon ++ too. Astral link?

Perhaps the most iconic scene intro ever?

I think Fairlight were responsible for most iconic intros on c64 and Amiga, the Angel Dawn/Gaston intro being the iconic Amiga one.

Exactly the same feeling here, I could already hear the tune as soon as I saw the screenshot…100% classic intro. “Kill a commie for Mommy” slogan doesn’t surprise me now when you see what Strider later became (google “Tony Krvaric republican piracy” if you don’t know what I’m talking about).

He’s “livin’ the dream”, although what’s left of it since America is pretty busted after 60 years of planned systematic destruction of her industry is another matter. One way or another, he has it tough as a Republican because California aspires to be like Western Europe in a lot of respects, which means most people are Democrats. Ironically, he left Sweden only to settle in a state which aspires to be like Sweden.

Come on Tony, come back home. I miss you.
