Was sound somehow hard in Megadrive those days?
Yes, I don’t think anyone had the docs or assembler necessary (z80, megadrive sound docs are not great + talk a lot about using Sega’s GEMS sound tool). The only intro I remember with sound used a ripped replayer from a game which was totally in 68000 – I guess this was the sole reason it was used 🙂
in the early days of the sega i got the manual and the sega disks from a programmer named Lasse Faabing who was programming Double Clutch, so with the first examples on the sega disks and the programming manual we started of making the first cracktros, after a while he gave me the music from the double clutch game as he told me that this music would be nerver used in any game. Nice menu, but I’m pretty sure I see a lot of Psycho/Censor’s recycled code in here… he did an intro for Paradox that was 95% the same code as a Censor intro he made too 😛
