What? We spent time cracking the game and you guys were not even playing it?

Great, great intro, though.

: What about re-doing it in Java? Should get the sluggishness out of it and the music-quality will improve too?

used to love this intro. all time classic way up there with the really old world of wonders one (cant remember but the strippy copper one)

remember spending a very long time trying to make a similar effect after this came out. failed though and now reading Paleface above its from an old 91 intro lol good job i gave up coding soon after that lol

BTW, the music isn’t playing properly in this flashtro. The arpeggios are supposed to fade out on each note.. not sustain… needs the oldsk00l plugin to capture it 😉

BTW, I did a mix of Orgasmic Chipper quite recently. It’s on Amigaremix.com

Laters,

mark.

The logo effect was a reuse from a quick demo competion entry I programmed with Gonzo of Flash Production for a party in Silkeborg in the fall of 1991. I think we won first or second prize, as most of the other entries were lame. Seen and I later added the jumping dot-intro, and the ‘blinds’ text-fader, and the first Melon intro was born. I have been searching for a Flash version for some time, thanks for the conversion! It was me who picked the colors btw…

I remember that i just put the Moonstone disk in the drive only to listen to this fab tune. Sure some of my friends called me crazy for listening to a chip tune 😀

I love it.

Funny story about this. So Moonstone was published by Mindscape right, and my first industry job was with Mindscape… On my FIRST day, I heard this chip tune playing in the producers room. I looked in to see why they were playing my chip music, and of course I saw the intro.. I kinda walked out very quietly without saying a work, feeling a bit embarrased, but more worried that they would realise I wrote music and question as to why it was on the crack for one of their games… 😀
