hehe i see… weird that i never saw those problems on my a500… but i fear it was a recurring thing with most of my stuff since i had a baseline code to set everything up, that i used for most things.
newton: i just had a quick look at your code, you have spriteptrs in your copperlist but don’t properly initialize them, so sprite dma fetches data from $0.w. Thus, if the long at $0.w is not cleared, you will get garbage on screen. 🙂
another nice thing I found in your intro is the following text:
"really lowbudget code this, but who gives a shit anyway!!! -notwen fo Sleber!!!"
newton: well, i have to rephrase: lousy startup-code 🙂 as I always liked the logo effect. at the time the intro was released, I already had my a1200 so I don’t know if the sprite bugs appear on an A500, never saw it on an A500. so the final verdict: startup code = could be better, effect coding = nice. 🙂
I remember this one, had quite some problems with sprite trash on screen due to lousy coding. 🙂 Anyway, the logo effect rocks. As does the 4-mat tune.
I don’t remember seeing this one on the Amiga, but I’ll go and look for it now 🙂 Nice intro… love the music, which is of course in several other intros too…
this needs to be redone

and lol @?the text… the arrogance of youth 🙂

@StingRay i just got uea running on my macbook, and i noticed sprite problems both in an intro i did for tarkus team and one i did for skid row.
So perhaps you were’nt off about the lousy coding.
never saw it on my a500 though?
i like that, i like crackinc, thk newton for the code 😉
Conan assures me that i coded this one… can’t say i remember it..
But im almost positive there was no lousy coding ;-)…
We were mostly in Rebels, but did some stuff for Mystic, Crack inc. and Tarkus Team as well..
logoeffect rocks very!
that was the best time i had….
