shame on me, b.a. is right. the song is mod.sleepwalk and not mod.sarcophaser, even though karsten used nearly the same samples in the two tunes

Sniff :’) Have to give it 10.

Just to be nitpicking: The music is called "Sleepwalk", not "Sarcophaser". Both, however, are excellent. Unfortunately the music is cut down to only a minute or two.

I have been searching for this intro forever and I’ve finally found it! YAY!!!

The main piece that I remember about this is the music – I absolutely loved it back then and now it really brings out the goose bumps 😉

Being a coder myself and having written several demos all the way back then I remember thinking how (please forgive me for this) lame the flat earth was but I liked the circular "scrolly text". The music really was what did it. You guys rock! I’m so glad I found this… makes me feel 15 again.

My memories are flooding the room here. I remember I still had my ST during this era. I only knew this song, I heard it somehow back in the ST days. My Amiga I did not own until a couple more years but had many friends that had one. They were SO expensive in 88 – iN7!/Syn

I am also quite impressed with the scroll effect.. not to hard to do, but back then we were usually crappy coders hehe 🙂

I didn’t know such "round" scrollers had been done so early in the history of Amiga… how was it coded exactly ? what was the original size of the intro ?
