great menu! i especially like the logo and the music. siriax/alpha 1: grab a beer or two, talk about the good ol’ times… Most guys here have wife and children in the meantime. And as a wise person said here: we’re getting older, and the number of friends is getting smaller
Well, concerning the Hellfire logo Siriax speaks the truth, actually I did not know that he is not the author of this logo until today. Iggy from Hellfire gave me this and told me it was drawn by Siriax so a misunderstanding I guess. oooppppsss my mistake 😉
Why don’t we close this with an intro competition? You both contribute an intro and by means of a poll, we call a winner. End of story. Moving on.

Well, just an opinion : You two have done and still do great things on the Amiga. You appear to be two talented and creative guys. You were known as a duo like for eg. Tip/Mantronix for the music (I think i remember their friendship stopped as yours with how made what in each mod or maybe was it another duet), you are now solo since some years regarding the last Flashtro prods. I totally agree with Sim and Madj. The sources and tutorials are supposed to be used by Amiga enthusiasts to learn, use and enjoy. The source code conference here is not designed for cultivators of the own image to project themselves. But, this is exactly what a1+stingray did here. How can it be stealing, even if I WOULD use a sourcecode from this website to make a production FOR this website?? That is ridiculous. Annatar, we don’t talk about sources to learn from, we all had this stuff on HD, we talk about copy & paste coding and redirecting credits away from the original author.

What if you open sourced all those routines on Github? Would it still count as code stealing? I’m trying to make a point here, and a very important one at that. This is a major fuckup all of us did from C=64 and then on the Amiga: instead of open sourcing all our work, we hoarded it, marked it “internal”, “not for spreading” and all that other bullshit, because we all thought that the code gave us an advantage over other groups, as if nobody in the world was capable of firing up a monitor to disassemble it. Yes, 25 years ago I would have been furious. Nowadays, if anyone used my code I would be elated, even if they didn’t credit me. Another reason why nowadays I wouldn’t be upset over it is because I know I could code that again. Every time. All the time. Back then I shared code only with my closest friends. …you have a good attitude Annatar and for the first part you are right. But the only thing that connected me to him was the Amiga. This is a long time ago. If you would know him in personal life, believe me, you would agree that it is better to make a big arc around guys like him. He basically is a bad character, stuck in the past, unable to forgive, unable to proceed. Never been able to reflect. He has shown his true face in all this discussion and I am glad that everyone can judge and see.

Ooooh well, nice little “rip off and put together” of some of my and ? routines without giving a credit … had some fun with a quick disassembly through the text engine and spinning “f” logo – at least you could have swapped some instructions to make it harder to spot the similarities.. 😉 Perhaps we should take some code snippets out of the binary and let us explain by yours truly what the code is doing?!
