“The sound” reminds me the FairLight intros, very popular back in the day. Probably they reused the sine table for the scroller to create it 😉 Maybe the space on disk was just very limited… Not bad but with a proper tune imho it would be just nicer.
Nice stuff indeed by the Silents. Slick design with an unusual but atmospheric background noise. Fits very well for me 🙂
I am not quite sure, if the intention with this sound is an hypnotic approach ( the color fading might fit here to this) or just to annoy.
It has been used quite often, i guess to some extend its better than no noise.. i would have hated it in a demo though 🙂
