This is how I remember the c64 peak days — simple, clean intro. Pumping SID by (most of the time) MON — BROS / ATC / Beastie Boys / Ikari / Hotline / Strike Force. Then I saw “Sword of Sodan” and I had to have an Amiga. Similar stories like Annatar below – I’d get my computer confiscated on occasion; mostly for using my modem (and the phoneline) all night and going to school without sleep.
There it finally is, the world famous Strike Force intro with Jeroen Tel`s rendition of S’Express. For me one of the best crackintros on c64 ever made, especially due to its simplicity. I can stare at this shit for hours without even blinking!
Yeah it’s awesome shit. Used to listen to this tune for hours on end. One time my dad confiscated my C=128D for some stupid shit or another (who the hell knows what it was) and put it up in his study; I was forbidden to come anywhere near the thing. Needless to say it was stronger than me and I had some logo displayer running with this music. Eventually I heard my father coming and I shut the TV off but left the computer on. Jeroen Tel’s S’Express tune is too sick. Once again the SID aged better than the actual track. And Strike Force are legendary anyway.
