Not a bad crack intro, but not good either – it actually reminds me of the mag “Cracker Journal” both in colors and bobs effect.
Photon, you can do way better and Galahad – respect for your work on this one!

About the protection being so heavy, two points come to my mind:
-The coder wanted to have fun and/or try things for another game in anticipation.
-They really didn’t want it to be cracked so as a niche game, all the very limited potential interested buyers would have to buy it to have it. 😀
Nice mix of oldskool feeling + a bit more modern with the colourscheme + tune. Sounds like an interesting one to crack, lots of work involved!
