This remake is about 85% complete (11000 lines of code?) I just need to add music/sound and finish the final boss and hunt and kill a few minor bugs and a couple of major bugs

Eh, what? Leander running and jumping in the browser? That’s great!
By the way, “the final demo” by Jon Burto who coded Leander for the Amiga can be found here:

Design-wise it’s not so much of a beauty but the effects & coding are neat. I like the parallax scrolling in front of the HAM image – cool idea and not so trivial as it may seem at first glance.
oops, missing n!
correct name is “Jon Burton” of course!
Awesome! Where is possible to find the game assets? One of my dream is to do Leander2 (I am waiting it from child)… thanks!!!
p.s. if you have you can also send to my mail or write to me 🙂
Just WOW! So the future is now. We’ll play Amiga games in our bowsers 🙂 Amazing!
great work, It could be fun to port it back to amiga, current Amiga c++ setups are doing a great job these days
wow – awesome! would you consider releasing the source code for others to see / use / adapt ?
Sure once I finally get around to finishing it 😛 minus all the game assets of course 😀
I will have to rewrite some stuff as the source currently includes some assets (basic gfx that don’t require palette changes) but that should be a 5 min job
That is just awesome! Much respect!
Just WOW!
Awesome stuph!
How long have you been working on this?
off and on for a few years, but I started a complete rewrite on JS about 8 months ago, working on it here and there. It was fun dissembling the asm trying to figure out what did what
BTW the cheat codes should work too (or at least the menu easter eggs should)
that’s just fantastic. thx again for your amazin’ work here on flashtro. The “game over” wave at the end of this game is fine too. keep up the gr8 stuff. Next, if possible: Turrican2, Speedball2, Buggy Boy, Hybris … so many gems to choose from.
