Problem with the original disks (the supplier had 5 copies, all contained the same bad data) nearly lost this release – hence the thanks to Galahad + Red Devil, who were able to provide working data from a different source 🙂
Pretty much. Our source worked in a Welsh disk duplicators, and we were literally hours from releasing when Red Devil mentioned we had it either to Splatt or NOMAD.
To be fair to Rob, he gave me the choice whether we release ourselves or let Marc have the data he needed to fix the FLT release.
Its basically what got me into FLT me letting them have our disk 2.
If I hadnt joined FLT, I think that would have been it for me, because I just wasnt well known enough to get an invite elsewhere.
Also Skol was instrumental in getting me in as well, which is kinda weird as him and me and Kid Video (aka Data) had a small falling out years before, but I’m fairly sure Skol recommended me or at least spoke up on my behalf.
It was Skol that told me NOMAD was leaving at the end of ’93.
Most of the time, success is about making the right choices and not about being a good coder, cracker etc.. Not saying, you’re bad at those things.
For my own choices, Jewels was a major group here in dk, but not on Amiga, joining RSI was another “bad” choice, because RSI dk was only me and another guy, but when Badboy took me under his wings, life changed to the better. It were not that much about skill, but staying around the right people to evolve faster, better and with way more fun. 😉
Well… I guess, the size for an intro was to small…
Always liked this one. Simple but works very good. Ace!
