What the fuck was “31.” all about??? Looks like one of those fucking pointless mathematical problems I had in gymnasium…

Awww Annatar. You are taking it too seriously. 😉
You know, once, when making a big picture “somewhere out there”, I put a whole “Gauss-Ostrogradski theorem” as an integral part of my picture :P.
Did I have a problem with? Well, OK, OK… Partially, yes. I was revising my exams. But it was fun.
A *Great* theorem, BTW!

I’d assume Tupper’s self-referential formula would be somewhat of an interest to a pixel artist like yourself. 🙂

Thank you TStorm =). Great sharing. 🙂
It’s a passionate subject.

I fucking hate the “show that…” or “prove the … theorem” problems. First, our mathematics teachers never really bothered explaning how to prove anything and when they did, it was so poorly explained that I was none the wiser afterwards, and any questions would be met with we have way too much content to cover and I don’t have the time to explain it to you; you’ll just have to figure it out on your own at home. Infuriating. Then, WHY THE FUCK would anyone have to “show” or prove any of this shit? It’s already been proven by whoever… Read more »

I never liked that “prove that” neither. But what can you do?
It is like showing the new demo effect. It exists already “proved”, but still someone needs to prove one can code it on its own.

Ahhh, but that’s wastly different: it ws shameful to reuse someone else’s code, and code can always be written to be more efficient, faster and smaller.
Mathematical transformations are just cleverness, whereas coding is like writing poetry or painting: there are so many infinite possibilities that it’s truly an art, not a vocation.

Yes but no.
Why the coders do not credit the mathematicians the discoveries they are using to code the efx? 😉

For the same reason mathematicians cannot win the Nobel prize.

Nah. The original story is less funny why there is no Nobel for the mathematics.

Math, right? Totally useless in a real world scenario. Unless… we’re living in a simulation perfectly describable by a handful of math equations.

Mathematics are extremely useful, but the useful part are APPLIED MATHEMATICS. For example, using a Kalman filter, that’s solving a real world problem. Linear algebra might be useful, but I will never know, because I never ran into a problem where it was obvious to me that it’s applicable, and no one ever bothered to teach me to solve real world problems with linear algebra… Yes yes, when I solve equations that’s also linear algebra, but that’s trivial and not what I mean… That’s basic mathematics, so it does not count in my book 😀 You of all people should… Read more »

Yeah, one of my fav here!!! 😉
I love the design, the “underwater” logo effect and the superb tune.
For some reason, whenever I hear this tune, I want to play some Moonstone!! 😀

Hahahaha, I was about to talk about MoonStone as well, but the I saw Space 1889 😉

Very slick intro indeed, fresh design + logo effect.

No matter what, I like this one very much.
I wonder how easy(?) it was to convert…

Woah. So some optimisations took place, as well.

Good, good! Always take the slowest and the shittiest you can find, if you can get it to run fast on that, it’ll run fast on everything else 99% of the time.
