Smooth chessboard movement + sinus scroller -> an instant winner! Just some copper coloring on the scroller and it would have been near perfect. Well, hmm.. the sinus wave is a bit too fast 😀
Nice to see more ST stuff! That replayer bug is painful though.

Well this is "Nu Skool" atari Intro… So the boys behind had time to learn how optimise their code (it’s from 2007 I think :))It’s not STE only so no blitter though for sure :)(and from what i saw,the background moves are precalc on the ST) 🙂
Quite a nice intro indeed, don’t see too many 1pixel sinescrollers on ST (who said blitter?) and decent background fx!
there’s a small bug with the .YM replayer so the music sounds dodgy after the 1st loop; Can’t do much about it (if some Atarians are around and have the original .YM file for the tune, I could check if it bugs too coz this one was ripped using Hatari .ym saver)
