Hi everyone, Well what a crappy month April was 😀
This is the story of what happened. In Feb my host annual renewal was up so I paid the full amount and the site host was renewed for one more year, then On the 5th of April my site domain name was up for renewal (I pay every 2 years) so once again I sent my host the cash and then the 6th of April came and my domain had not yet been renewed. This is when everyone saw the site point to a page saying so. Naturally I contact the host to find out why as I could see in my login they had received the money. About a week later someone finally got back to me saying some bull crap about not propagating and now it has been resolved.
Great news I thought, it had indeed been resolved but in doing so they fucked up something and now the DATABASE was no longer connecting, I had zero access to it!!! So ever time someone visited flashtro they got a 503 error. Without the database there is no site :(. Lucky for me I managed to grab a copy the day before they fucked everything up.
I thought since they replied in just under a week with my first problem that it would take no longer than that to fix this problem. I have sent over 20 tickets to them and had nothing back in over a month.
So basically FUCK www.fuzzyhosts.com for taking people’s money and not providing the service they advertise, they could at least be honest and say “We no longer run this company full time, if at all” and let current customers move on so they no longer run into problems like me. So move on I have.
As you can see the site is a lot different from the one you remember. The main reason for this is my old CMS I was using is around a decade out of date, They do some updates once in a while but mostly for Russians now and no major plugins.
I have been wanting to switch to something new for years but as my old site grew this became harder to migrate every intro, comment …. to a new system. Then came along TStorm (weirdly about a month before my site problems) asking why I use a crappy CMS 😛
I told him I wanted to move but did not know how. Then he said send me your DB and I will see what I can do.
I sent him my DB and he said he had got a few things running but I was not fully sold as I did not feel like committing to a big change like that. Then came my site problems and I thought F*** it Lets get this done now before another decade goes by with this old ass CMS.
I asked TStorm if he could do more and HE DID!
I know a lot of you will miss the old look but trust me this new CMS is so much better than the old one. I would also like to thank TStorm for the many DAYS (not hours) converting every intro / category to the new CMS and the tens of thousands of comments and then having to connect everything so it matches the users. All of the Private Messages were saved 😀 (well done TStorm)
Some changes.
Mobile: It should be more mobile friendly now.
Forums: I only kept the important threads (from scene with all the juicy scene stuff), the rest of the treads were small requests that I had already filled.
Users: All the users remain, however the passwords were encrypted so could not be ported over. Therefore you will have to request a new password, if you no longer use the same email you registered with then email me at mathew_n at hotmail.com and I will reset a new pw for you.

Things to do:
Some pages may not work but they will be fixed eventually
Downloads will be missing on all pages (I am working on fixing this)
Old links no longer link to the new site (handy search bar on the 404 page will help any one looking for any thing)

Hehe ok although this one looks simple the text printer is not a simple text printer. It has some code for making the text center X and center Y. So it should be fun to do.
While I take a look at doing a tutorial you can try and rip the Logo and Font

I am also happy you are back. Am I doing something wrong; When I select Flashtro/Amiga all the intros are sorted by date and not by name. Since there are no letters to choose from like in the old template, how am I supposed to sort the intros by group? Please advise.
Yah a small problem that I will try and fix soon with an alpha filter (search by letter) you can try the search bar for now or TAGS

hmm, okay, didn´t know that. Question for M9: The codef anim-stuff seems to be sensitive to mouse motion, not so with flash, can you confirm this / same experience ?
